Mr. Right or Mr. Wrong?

The ideas and principles of the Communist Party are fast becoming redundant. And so are the senior comrades. During the last 5 years, Comrade VS sat in the CM’s chair and exhibited callous disregard towards the Opposition, the entrepreneurs, writers and intellectuals, to name only a few categories. He described former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam thus : Oen akaasathu baanam vidunnavan aanu. He called K.E.N. Kunjahamed an ape. He didn’t spare even foreign nationals who came to do business in Kerala. He made several unsubstantiated allegations against the Smart City Chairman, Farid Abdul Rahman, whom he crudely described as an alcoholic. The dictim “Aditi devo bhava” is one of the distinguishing features of Indian culture, yet the Chief Minister of the country’s most literate State violated this sacred doctrine with impunity. And to add insult to injury, his infamous remark that “Not even a dog would have visited Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s house had it not been for his martyrdom,” made every Malayali hang his head shame.

Let me recount another shocking incident that was reported to me by an entrepreneur friend. A group of potential investors came to meet the Chief Minister. After the customary exchange of visiting cards had taken place, VS took one of the cards offered to him, rolled it in his beedi-making style and started cleaning his ears with it. The visitors were horrified and disgusted.

Now the question is “Is this the kind of leader that 21st century Kerala ought to have?” I ask the youth of this State, “Do you deserve to be represented by uneducated, uncultured, cantankerous and rotten individuals?”

Is VS Mr. Right or Mr. Wrong? Can we tolerate him and the LDF for another 5 years? Let the people make up their minds.

V.S. has wasted our valued 4.5 years in signing the Smart City contract. TIME has its own value. We always need Proactive Leaders not Reactive Leaders. Our leaders should really think why people like me are working abroad separated from our family, when we have more resources in Kerala itself.

It is not his fault – It is the fault of the culture that they follow.
It is shameful to have a Chief Minister like Achu.
