My dear friends, even a child knows you can do many things with one hand! The CPM is putting forth a most peculiar argument to convince the people of Kerala that P Jayarajan, MLA did not assault Asianet presenter Shahjahan. How can a partially handicapped man with one non-functional hand assault anybody, they ask. And I ask, how did a one-handed man push a young girl, Sowmya, out of a running train, how did he then rape and brutally murder her? If one hand is enough to do all these things, is it difficult to slap a person with one hand? Let us not forget that a mob was available to assist Jayarajan in this endeavour.
In any case, Jayarajan’s tongue is infinitely stronger than his hands. His telephone call to Shahjahan was crystal clear, his voice was clearly recognizable and the words were explicit. He threatened Shahjahan with a bigger assault – this time by the ‘people’. Which people? The peace loving citizens of Kerala would like to know.
It is time we ended this mindless violence. It is time we recognized the real promoters of violence. Both P Jayarajan and his son are now one-handed. How did this come about? This is the result of the CPM’s policy of attack and intimidation. During the seventies at Mattanur Chavassery, a KSRTC bus was set on fire by the red brigade killing nine persons. What for? To ensure the ‘success’ of a bandh. The visual media had not come into existence then. Today the role played by the media in reducing lawlessness should not be underestimated. The presence of cameras everywhere makes it difficult for the criminal elements to intimidate the common man. Yes, the media is indeed the watchdog of democracy.
To Shahjahan and several others like him, who work round the clock to bring truth and reality before the eyes of the public, I say, “The blows rained on you are daggers piercing the heart of India’s democracy. But our democratic traditions are too strong to give way. Go ahead with courage and continue the good work. The people of Kerala are on your side.”

Did Govindachammi push Sowmya out of the train?. According to media reports and of police, Sowmya jumped out of the train to escape from him.

Yeah, whatever you said is accurate and precise. I don’t know how the people outside Kannur would feel about all these violent politics in Kannur. But even in Kannur there are “innocent intellectuals” who thinks CPI(M) would not do anything like that. How pathetic…

Kannur is an astonishing place…this is place of Great Arakkal and Chirakkal kingdom…place of mysterious Secularism…paradise of guests…..hub of hospitality…
But there are some culprits who are behaving and living like Mumbai goondas..,,,triple Jayarajans, nervous Sashi and Sreemathi English Teacher…..
If we send them to Hell, we can fulfil our project ..ie.. “clean Kannur”…
For a better, peaceful and developed Kannur…Pls elect Abdullakutty..

Joseph Stalin, the Russian dictator had a permanently damaged left hand. Even before he came to power, he is known to have committed several bank robberies, kidnappings and extortion. After he became undisputed ruler of the USSR, he exiled Leon Trotsky, eliminated his political rivals and killed millions of his own countrymen.
